Inês Klinesmith
Director of IP Practice
Inês holds a BA (Hons) in Media Studies and French and a Master’s degree (MA) in Multimedia Journalism from the University of Sussex. She is a qualified journalist (NCTJ) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (MCIL). During her more than ten years in the industry, she has advised a broad range of clients such as brand owners, law firms and government bodies and been involved in intellectual property, digital and due diligence investigations worldwide.
Prior to joining the industry, Inês was a journalist focusing on international policy and security, and a translator. She is an ad-hoc volunteer senior reviewer for Translators Without Borders and speaks fluent English, Portuguese, French and Spanish. She also has basic knowledge of British and Portuguese Sign Languages, which she continues to learn.
Inês became a Director of the IP practice in April 2024 and continues to be involved in and oversee hundreds of intellectual property and digital investigations worldwide.
