On September 24, 2014, Jim Mintz addressed the UN General Assembly side event, “Curbing Illicit Financial Flows for Domestic Resource Mobilisation in the Post-2015 Era,” providing tips on how a private investigator finds dirty money tied to crime and corruption. Mintz said that government and private investigators who recover assets are united by many of the same targets, frustrations and trends. The event was co-hosted by the Office of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Australia and Mexico.
