Saranya Kapur

Saranya Kapur is a Managing Director based in Mumbai, who heads our Mumbai office and works closely with our offices in the U.S.  Since joining the firm in 2017, she has conducted and overseen work on complex litigation matters, bankruptcy support cases, asset traces and pre-employment and pre-transaction due diligence in India, the United States and across the globe.

Some of her recent projects include a asset trace and background check on a potential Indian investor, where she found that the investor had vastly overstated their wealth; working for the bankruptcy trustee of a high profile law firm in the United States with a pattern of embezzling funds from its clients and supporting global clients who have been targets of proxy fights and short sellers.

Prior to working at the Mintz Group, Saranya worked as a journalist for business publications including Institutional Investor, Forbes and Barron’s.

Saranya earned an Integrated Master of Arts degree in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology – Madras and a Master of Arts degree in Business Journalism from New York University.  She is proficient in English and Hindi.
