Monika Rihma

Monika Rihma is a Managing Director at Mintz Group, specialising in disputes and litigation support. She has helped clients recover hundreds of millions of dollars through asset tracing, including multi-jurisdictional investigations that uncovered over $240 million in crypto assets and around $200 million in traditional assets. Monika has also led significant investigations into sanctions violations in the Middle East and Asia, oil smuggling, government-backed hostile takeovers, and complex disputes involving state-backed corporations. Her work spans politically sensitive environments, where she helps clients navigate opaque and high-risk jurisdictions.

With experience across both the public and private sectors, Monika has worked in government service and the Big Four, investigating political, commercial, and security risks. She has particular expertise in Ukraine, Russia and the former Soviet Union, having lived and worked in these regions for over 15 years. 

Monika has a strong track record in complex information collection and analysis, with particular expertise in operating in challenging jurisdictions to provide clients with actionable intelligence.

She was educated in Hong Kong and the UK and holds a master’s degree in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London.
